A well-established family run nursing home in the heart of Ewhurst Village in Cranleigh. It is a 32 bedded home providing nursing, convalescence, palliative care and respite for elderly residents.
THE ROLE:
To achieve the highest possible standard of care throughout the home, ensuring all staff work in a professional manner offering direct nursing care to the residents. Effective supervision and management of RGN’s and care staff, working within a team to deliver needs based care. To encourage and promote openness and a learning environment for all staff. To be a lead figure in the provision of quality care to residents by all care team staff. To work alongside the Matron in ensuring the highest standards.
THE CANDIDATE:
They are looking for an enthusiastic and committed Deputy Matron to join their excellent team to assist in providing the highest quality service at all times. Shift pattern runs from 8 – 4.30pm or 1.30pm – 8pm.
To do this job effectively the candidate will need some essential qualifications highlighted in bold and be able to demonstrate skills in the other subsections.
A relevant nursing qualification
Valid NMC pin number
Accredited training/courses
Good staff management skills
A proven clinical track record.
Understanding of the latest nursing practices.
Some Knowledge of the statutory CQC requirements associated with care.
Excellent communication both written and verbal.
Good time management skills.
A strong customer focus.
A flexible approach to working hours.
